The European Citizen Science Association (ECSA) is a pan-European international membership organisation founded in 2014, bringing together individuals and institutions interested in citizen science. Its main goals are to increase the democratisation of science, foster the growth of citizen science in Europe, and support the participation of the general public in research processes across the natural sciences, social sciences, humanities and the arts.​
ECSA is registered as a non-profit association and operates as a hub for networking, knowledge exchange and capacity building in citizen science, working closely with researchers, educators, policymakers, civil society and communities. The organisation coordinates and participates in EU-funded projects, develops guidelines and tools, and organises events, workshops and training formats to promote high-quality citizen science practice.As part of our mission to strengthen the citizen science landscape in Europe, we are eager to connect locally and across Europe with Educators and students who want to share knowledge and learn how to include participatory research in their classrooms.
As a co-coordinator in this project, ECSA ensures the implementation of project activities, contributes citizen science expertise, and promotes the dissemination of results through citizen science networks.

NUCLIO logo

NUCLIO

NUCLIO is a non-profit organization and an NGO for development that brings together teachers and researchers from the fields of science, psychology of education and educational sciences. NUCLIO coordinates and participates as a partner in several national and international projects and initiatives that aim to promote innovation and development in education. NUCLIO coordinates a maker space in Portugal, leading several trainings for teachers, students and community on maker competences. The organization also coordinates the Galileo Teacher Training Program (GTTP), one of the largest teacher training efforts in the world involving over 100 countries. Since its establishment, NUCLIO has reached over 70 000 teachers at a global level. NUCLIO also promotes scientific outreach actions, such as night sky observations and talks with scientists in different scientific fields.

The observatory aims to make science accessible and exciting for everyone, fostering curiosity and discovery, in Cork, Ireland, and beyond. It invites visitors to join and experience the wonder of the universe.

Escola Secundária Jaime Moniz is a public secondary school located in Funchal, on the island of Madeira, Portugal. Founded in 1837, the school provides upper secondary education in several academic areas and prepares students for higher education and further professional pathways. The school is actively involved in national and international educational initiatives and holds an Erasmus+ accreditation in the school education sector. Through these activities, it promotes intercultural exchange, collaboration among institutions, and the development of key competences for students and teachers. As a partner in this project, Escola Secundária Jaime Moniz contributes its educational experience, supports the implementation of project activities, and promotes the dissemination of results within the school community and the wider educational network.

1st Gymnasium Zografou

The 1st Gymnasium of Zografou is located in Athens, the capital city of Greece, in an urban area. Zografou is an independent municipality very close to the city center of Athens, about 4 km far from Acropolis. It is regarded as a university student city since it is surrounded by Athens university campus and Athen’s polytechnic campus. Our school serves students aged 12 to 15 years old and is part of the compulsory public education system. The number of our students is 200 persons, while the number of our teaching personnel is 30 persons. Our school follows a student-centered educational approach. We encourage active participation, collaboration and critical thinking in the classroom. We place special emphasis on STEM education and the development of digital skills, helping students understand how science and technology are connected to real life. At the same time, we promote values such as cooperation, responsibility and openness to new ideas. European projects like Erasmus+ give our students the opportunity to broaden their horizons and learn through meaningful experiences.

WRO Hellas

WRO Hellas is the official Greek organizer of the World Robot Olympiad (WRO), dedicated to bringing STEM and educational robotics into schools across Greece and Southeast Europe. As a non-profit, it uses robotics competitions to inspire and equip schools with free infrastructure, teacher training, and open-access lesson plans. Each year, WRO Hellas organizes the Panhellenic Educational Robotics Competition and the WRO Olympiad, engaging students and educators nationwide. To date, it has trained over 2,000 teachers and supplied more than 800 schools with robotics equipment, ensuring every student has the chance to explore the exciting world of robotics and innovation.
